Bill & Kathy Thurston’s Sunny Bay RR (1:20.3)

The layout is a fictitious narrow-gauge railroad set in the Pacific Northwest during the 1930s. It features grades of up to 4% and some 4-foot radius curves on spurs. Mainline curves have a minimum 5-foot radius.  The railroad is a bit unusual in that it is more than a logging railroad. It also serves the mining, ranching, farming, airport, and tourist activities in the area. Highlights of the layout include several streams, motion activated sounds and saws from the sawmills, and an operating tourist tram.  Most of the railroad is at ground level.
