Didrick Voss’ Everett & Monte Cristo Railway (HO)

With all the flavor of a narrow gauge railroad, this standard gauge prototype’s primary purpose was to deliver gold from the Cascade mountain town of Monte Cristo, 55 miles west, to a smelter in Everett, Washington. While Monte Cristo is now a ghost town, the longtime industrial waterfront city of Everett still stands. There are also several logging operations along the line. At one time, this short line was advertised on the East Coast as a scenic railroad, and it certainly was spectacular. This is a large fully sceniced layout which covers most of a large basement, and features DCC operation, spectacular mountain scenery and lots of scratch built structures.
