Lee Marsh’s Great Northern Cascade Division

This 1947-1951 era layout features Great Northern’s Cascade Mountain crossing and Delta Yard in Everett, WA. It hosts trains from Seattle, Vancouver, BC and points east. There is substantial hidden staging that positions numerous mainline and local trains to run through the modeled scenes in prototypical sequence.

You will see freight and passenger operations, with steam, diesel, and electric locomotives. Equipment includes many highly detailed brass locomotive and rolling stock models.

Scenery is hard shell with rock outcroppings, scree slopes, and many custom-made trees, some modeled after actual trees! The backdrop is hand-painted from photos taken in the Cascades. Operations have recently been implemented, providing a lot of action on this modest sized pike.
